Valley High School student Luke Wittrock has been named a 2025 Coca-Cola Scholar Semifinalist, putting him in consideration for a $20,000 college scholarship.

The Valley High School competition cheerleading team captured the program’s 13th state title when it won the Class 4A Cheer/Dance competition at the state championships on Nov. 2.

West Des Moines Community Schools is getting ready for winter weather and will be testing the notification system at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Eleven Valley High School seniors were named National Merit® Scholarship Program Semifinalists, putting them in the running to compete for a prestigious National Merit Scholarship.

Led by all-tournament performers Aidan McGreen and C.T. Norris, the Valley High School boys golf team took third place at the 2024 Class 4A Iowa High School State Golf Championship.

WDMCS will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, Oct. 16 to celebrate the $28 million expansion at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School.
